THE SECRETARY'S SCRAP.

On Monday afternoon the bottom of 'Queen-street was temporarily formed into a prize-ring, great excitement prevailed but the fight was over before the police could effect a raid. It appears that it was quite an impromptu affair. • A well-known Union official was walking around calm and collected when he bumped up against a cove whom he had known m the old days way back. What passed 'between them is not known, but evidently it wasn't too pleasant. Anyway the other cove told the union man to go and feed himself, or something like that. It seems that the union man wasn't hungry, for his only answer . was a dirty drive which landed ' ON THE OTHER COVE'S LUG m the best Rossian style. The other cove was gone a million but the union man's friends made a dead rush (m which the genial doctor was an easy first), and carried the union man along by sheer force. When the police arrived their services, as usual, were not required.
