ROTORUA SANATORIUM.
!J?O'_HE EDITOB.
I- notice' a- paragraph which-appear-ed m your last edition of "Truth,".' supposed to be a complaint by a rexent patient at the Rotorua Sanatorium. I myself ha.ye just returned' .after two months' treatment for [ rheumatism at the same institution, Und can speak loudly m praise pf the .attention I received. The doctors, /matron,' nurses, m fact all the staff, • were most courteous, kind and attentive to me during my stay there. Your informant complains of a cold sitting room ; I had the pleasure of enjoying good fires the whole of the tlime I was m that room. It is truethere are no fires at the baths, they i are not 'needed, the baths are hot .enough. Your paragraph reads also, "the Postmaster is three quarters of : a mile away and qjuite open," and. that you, Mr Editor, do not understand what he means ; I will explain. The bath "Postmaster," as it isnamed, is only a quarter of a mile< from the Sanatorium, and under the doctor's advice only those who are strong enough and able to undergo the treatment are prescribed it. It is true it is uncovered, but no doubt the reason for that is on account . of the strong sulphur fumes arising therefrom; it would.be too over^ powering for the bathers if it were not so. I write these few lines m the; interest of many sufferers, who,, like myself, shoul£ speak well of the Government's fbrthought m providing such an institution for suffering humanity, but it is a very difficult undertaking to try and please us all. Trusting I have not encroach-^ ed on your widely read columns.— Yours etc., A'. -E. ROGERS. Hastings. ■^
