TO BE EXTRADITED
ALLEGED OFFENCES IN SYDNEY TWO MEN BEFORE THE COURT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 20. Two men charged in the Police Court with offences alleged to have been committed in Sydney, 'were ordered to be extradited to Australia. Stanley Richard Reynolds (37) was charged with deserting his wife at Sydney on March 11th. 1926. Constable B. L. Caesar, of the New South Wales police, produced an original warrant for the arrest of Reynolds. He asked that the accused should be given into his custody for extradition to Sydney. Mr Vialoux said he was acting for a creditor, and was instructed to ask that Reynolds should not be returned to Australia immediately, as there was a likelihood of bankruptcy proceedings. Senior-Detective Hammond submitted that Mr Vialoux had no standing in the matter. However, the magistrate, Mr 1 F. K. Hunt. S.M., in making the order for extradition, adjourned the case until to-morrow morning. Rowan Ross Rilev (21), who was arrested by the Onehunea police on a charge of stealing £123, the property of Electrolux, Ltd., ,of Sydney, was also ordered to bo extradited in the custody of Constable Caesar to Sydney by the Marnmn. which sails to-morrow.
