WHAT WAS HE?

DESCRIPTIONS OF A MERE MAN At the Magistrate's Court yesterday two witnesses were asked to describe the appearance of a man who stood in the dock. The first one said that the man was “queer.” Then he said he was “dazed,” then “drunk.” The second witness thought he was “half mad,” and later thought he must he “mad.” The man's solicitor asked the witnesses if his client was “muzzy”? And the Magistrate (Mr E. Page) came to the conclusion that at the time he was evidently “peculiar.” Whereupon the case was dismissed.
