PRAYER BOOK REVISION

CHURCHMEN UTTER PROTEST “REVERSION TO MEDEIAEVAL PRAgICES” “REJECTED AT REFORMATION” By Telegraph.—Press Ass".—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January 19, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON, January 18. The joint secretaries of the League of Loyal Churchmen and the Protestant Alliance have sent a letter to several bishops attending the Lambeth Conference, assuring them of the support of the large body of Church members who are voiceless in convocation and other conventions, and expressing the .hope that, despite the malignant efforts of pseudo-Anglo-Catliolics, the bishops will do their utmost to prevent a reversion to mediaeval practices which were rejected at the Reformation. The Bishop of Norwich, the Right Rev. Bertram, among others, replied saying that.he had always thought it unfortunate that devout churchmen should hesitate to express their views, and then complain when things went contrary to their wishes.
