FATAL EVE OF WEDDING
Seventy-five New York Edison employees and firemen worked for four hours at New York recently in a vain attempt to rescue Charles T. Collins, who was buried under tons of . coal wheh the eighth level collapsed carrying him into the second level. He was eventually found crushed, to death. Collins- who was a member of the crew of the Finland, left the ship recently. He had arranged to get married in New York on the day after the accident and to return to his bride’s home in Liverpool. He served in the British Navy from 1915 to '1925.
