MEETING OF PROPRIETORS national association formed. A large and representative meeting of the motion picture proprietors from throughout the Dominion was held yesterday. at which a National Association was formed to promote the genera! welfare of the motion picture industry throughout the Dominion. Mr E. .T. Righton was elected the first president, with an executive council representing metropolitan and provincial interests, and provincial interests. Many moans were dismissed to raise the status of the industry. The meeting, which ivas attended by delegates from every provincial district, was most enthusiastic, and the outcome <»f the deliberations will unquestionably be a steady improvement in the conditions under which the motion picture entertainment is conducted in the Dominion.
