The Legislative Assembly pnssed the first rending of the Transport Bill, yilndi is framed on the lines of the English and Now Zealand Acts, and provides for the appointment of a Transport Board, consisting of tlio Railway Commissioners, which will l.e empowered to operate motor-’buscs in competition with privately-owned services, and to order the insurance of passengers in public vehicles by the owners.
