EXCESSIVE SPEED
MOTORISTS FINED (‘‘Times” Correspondent.) At a sitting of the Otaki Court today Messrs H. Freeman and H. Nicholson, J.P.’s, presiding, several motorists were fined for travelling at a speed dangerous to the public. Mr Thomson acted on behalf of the Otaki Borough Council. The following fines were inflicted: — G. D. Hamilton, £1 and costs; Sunny Aranui, £1 and costs; H. D. [Bennett, £2 and costs; Robert Black, £1 and costs; Wallace Kilmister (no light on motor-cycle), 10s and costs; M. L. Farrington, £1 and costs; T. J. Firth (two charges), £3 and costs on each charge; Sam Hall, £1 and costs; diaries Hart (no light on motor-cycle), 10s and costs. William Junett, £2 and costs; Cyril R. Palmer, £1 and costs; J, A, Nicholson, £5 and costs; W. L. White, £1 and costs; W. H. Wiffen, £1 and costs; Cyril Ward, £l and costs. W: H. Wills (two charges) was fined 10s arid costs on each charge for allowing stock to wander. Solicitor’s fee of 10s 6d was allowed in each case of excessive speeding.
