This evening Jenkins and Fleming will ho competing in the sprints, Kyle in the 410yds, Campbell and Allan in the 880 yard*, Priestley and Wilson in the mile, and Sutherland, Sceats and Munro in the field events. The star events, of oourse, will be the two scratch cycle races, in which the competitors will be Lamb, the Australian record-breaker; Grose, the New Zealand champion, and Flett, the Wellington ohampion. Lamb has now struck form and should do very well, but both Grose and Flett are doing eome wonderful riding at present, and will take a lot of heating. This will be Lamb’s last appearance in Wellington, and his clash with Groae and FJett is being eagerly awaited. The laidies’ events will also attract much attention. Miss Porter, the Nj»w Zealand champion, is running exceedingly well at present, and should go very close to winning the ladies’ sprint at the Now Zealand championships again this year.
