FRIDAY’S TOURNAMENT The appearance of Jansen, the French champion, opposed to Purdy on Friday night is causing more than usual interest in boxing circles, and indications are that the Town Hall will be crowded 1 long before proceedings commence. The box plan opened on Monday morning, when all records for the first morning went by the hoard. There has been a steady demand ever since, and very few seats will he available when the plan closes on Friday afternoon. Inquiries from all over tho Dominion have come from those. attending the summer racing carnival, and those who have not yet secured their tickets will be wise to do so without delay. A limited number of early door tickets have been made available, and • these ensure to the holder a seat providing he attends not later than 7.15 o’clockA certain number of seats have been kent for those who prefer to purchase their tiokets at the hall, and these will be on sale at 7.15.
