DELEGATES ENTERTAINED A HAPPY FUNCTION DEFENCE—NOT DEFIANCE The 'delegates to the Master Bakers and Pastrycooks' Conference were in high spirits laist evening, when the strenuous and weighty discussions of tho day being disposed of, they met at dinner as the guests of Distributors, Ltd., and enjoyed a pleasant social evening. The hard things which had admittedly Keen said during the business of the conference were forgotten, and millers and bakers were represented in a monientarily contented community. Mr 11.I 1 . R. Carson, president of Distributors, Ltd., who presided, dwelt upon the gratifying progress of the association since its foundation 27 years ago, and went on to say that many trade organisation's had been formed in a selfish and aggressive spirit.
