AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS NEW BREASTSTROKE RECORD. - Pet Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 11. In the Auckland swimming championships to-night. Miss Gladys Pidgeon lowered the Australian and New Zealand records for 220yds ladies’ breaststroke record from 3min 40seo to 3m in 35 3-ssec. The previous record was shared by Misses Pidgeon and Ettie Robertson, of Sydney. In" the 100yds intermediate girls’ championship, Miss Doris Magee lowered by 2-osec the Dominion record of 69 l-ssec, held by Miss M. Farquhar. Miss Ena Stoekley won the 100yds Indies’ event in 68sec after a great race with Miss Farquhar. A. D. Adamson was first in the 100yds from J. Enwright nnd L. Fairgray, who dead heated. The time was 69 2-ssec. A. E. Baird won the 200vds men’s championship in 2min 40sec, with ease
