FIVE PER CENT. ADVANCE FOR ALL BTHTER CLASSES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright (Received January 11, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 11. The first of the New Year series of wool sales ended to-day. It was characterised throughout by a brisk demand for all better classes, at an advance of 5 per cent, over the December closing levels. Medium and ordinary were from par to 5 per cent, higher; comebacks and crossbreds were in good request at recent levels.
