THE SEMI-SHINGLE
NECK CURL FASHION FOR TRANSITION STAGE.
Hairdressers whoso customers demand the very latest thing havo invented a new way of curling the fashionable woman’s hair (says an English paper). Instead of waving the hair all over the head, the newest method is to have it brushed sleekly off the forehead, form a middle parting, and finished with hunches of curls in tho nape of the neck. The idea was really invented for the benefit of those women whe arc trying to grow their hair again. There is always a difficult stage when the hair looks untidy if it is allowed to appear as an overgrown
bob, and is too short to do up in a bun. Neck curls, however, help to get over this trying growing period, and so becoming have some women found the demure Victorian effect that they have decided to stick to it permanently. On a dark brown head a vivid green comb looks charming, and helps to keep the curls in position. For blondes there are ivory and pink coral combs to choose from.
