“EXCUSE MY DUST”
THE SPEEDING MOTORISTS Endeavours were being made at the Chambers of Commerce conference yesterday to have provision made so that no'motorist should he prosecuted for excessive speed or negligent driving unless warned the time of the offence, or within 14 days. “Whyl” exclaimed Mr H. W. Hudson (Auckland) wrathfully, “a chap passed me the other day, and he was going so fast that all I could see was his dust. What can you do with him?” The president (drily): Well, he would not he prosecuted—if you could only see his dust. The conference passed a remit in the direction indicated.
