OBITUARY

WILLIAM GARRARD. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, September 22. Mr William Garrard is dead, aged DO years. Deceased was well known to old-time sportsmen. He came to New Zealand sixty years ago and settled at Nelson till 1874, when he removed to Christchurch, where he remained till the .time of his death. His sons are Mr W. G. Garrard church). Mr Joseph Garrard (Lyttelton), manager of ICinsey and Co.. Mr C. W. Garrard, chief inspector of schools (Auckland), and Mr H. F. Garrard (Christchurch).
