MARRIED lAN AND GIRL TRAGEDY
■ At an- inquest-lately at Long'Ditton, on Cecil Bernard Reynolds (23), a clerk, married, with one child, whoVvas founa dead with his head in a gas oven at hia home in Lpng Ditton, a verdict of suicide during teiriporary insanity - arias returned.
The coroner then went to - Surbiton to hold' an inquest on Daphne ‘Raynor (17), a chemist’s assistant; who died on the sairie day from strychnine poison at her employer’s shop at Surbiton.-; ’’ To another assistant - it, was'stated she had said: “You know the man I used to go. out with. He-killed himself this.. mrirning. He : put'his’-head in a gsa oven. I am sorry : for'his wife and child.” - ' • ' . . .
A police sergeant said the mother of the girl told him her daughter knew the. man, and thpy bad frequently spoken to one another. but riie suspected nothingwrong. A verdict of suicide while of SW sound mind was returned.
