The men trill leave in parties on five ships—the Otranto, leaving on September 1 18th. with’2o each for Wect Australia and Victoria; tlip Esperance Bay on September 21st with men for South Australia and Victoria; the Oronsay on October 16tli, and other parties' later. The tneh are young and of a fine type. Many are Scottish. About 300 migrants, nominated per sons. Dreadnought boys, domestic set; vants, and , farm workers sail at the week-end on the Themistocles, one of the largest parties dispatched for several months, despite the limitation of migration requisitions' by some States. The migration department expects to send a total of 30,000 migrants to Australia in 1926. the highest number since the war, this apart from any new schemes or speeding _up which may result from the Imperial Conference discussions.
