STRAND THEATRE

“SKINNER’S DRESS SUIT.” The chief attraction at the Strand Theatre to-day, is Reginald Denny and Laura La Plante in the lino comedy, “Skinner’s Dress Suit.” Denny, in the role of Skinner, gives one of the best performances of his long and varied career. His woebegone emilo makes him ideally suited for the difficult part. Laura La Plante, as “Honey,” the golden-haired wife of the underpaid bookkeeper, finds her way into the heart. The second feature is “The Happy Ending,” starring Fay Compton and Jack Buchanan, in a story which has pathos and humour, is beautifully presented in sylvan and river scenery, and is magnificently played. There is the usual big supporting bill and catchy music by Mr H. Avery, the wizard of the piano.
