CASE FOR HALF-WAY HOUSE SENTENCES AT AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 26. In the Police Court, Frederick Walter McLennan, with a list of convictions for false pretences and posing as a doctor and policeman, and wlio is now serving three months for false pretences at Thames, was charged with a breach of his probation. The probation officer said that all of the accused’s acts were those of a madman. He was a case for a halfway house. The accused was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment to be cumulative with the present sentence.

Albert Rae, 18 years of age, on several charges of theft of money, was committed to the Borstal Institute for three years.
