POSTPONEMENT PROPOSAL ANNOUNCEMENT DUE TO-DAY, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 25, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 24. Tho Colonial Office has not received replies from all the Dominions concerning the postponement of the Imperial Conference to October 19th, but anticipate that sufficient will be known to enable Mr Baldwin to make an announcement in the House of Commons on Monday. It is authoritatively stated that no suggestion was over officially received from Canada that she did not desire to attend, the conference. The first suggestion from the Canadian Government was that ii 7 “’desired a short delav of the meeting, pending the results of the elections,” but not suggesting whether a week, a fortnight, or three weeks. The Colonial Office thereupon suggested a fortnight, and this suggestion awaits approval from the Dominions.
