HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE

WONDERFUL ANIMAL ACT. A most notable feature of Ihe new programme to be presented at His Slajesty’s Theatre to-night, is the (Siuta, ppeara;a'oe of Apdalo’s Great Animal Circus. This is the finest troupe of performing animals that ha* ever been seqn in this city. “Mutt,” a huge comedian monkey, who delights in creating chaos whereever he appears, is reputed to have the strength of three men put together, but to his master, as obedient as a well-trained child, and his many feats of strength and agility, his globe-walking, balancing, bicycleriding, etc., etc., will prove an attractive study for all lovers and students of animals. In addition to “Mutt” there are a number of wonderfully sagacious animals, including a big black hear from the Rocky Mountains, a notable wrestler. “Mr and Mrs Patsy,” the devoted parents of their eon and heir horn at the Dunedin Exhibition, and named after that city, several smaller members of the monkey tribe than “Patsv,” and numerous performing dogs, all astonishingly clever, who go through their allotted tasks most intelligently, and, what is more, with an air of thoroughly enjoying themselves. An act of consummate neatness and grace is that offered bv Keith and Joan Dingley, two extremely artistic dance specialists. They are seen in a variety of original dances and their audience last week, ’warmly demonstrated their intelligent appreciation of an act that is seldom seen on any vaudeville stage. A new programme will be presented by this gifted couple. A combination of daring acrobatic feats, comedy, body-contortions and weird make-up, only partly describes the Cycling Brocks, who are to be seen again this week in a new' button-bursting Bait of bicycling buffoonery. Unquestionably up-to-the-minute originality is the secret of the wonderful popularity accorded Mr Reg. Thornton and his partner, “Doris. As may be anticipated, the very latest in topicalities will be adapted to song, story, monologue and patter by this brilliant and refreshingly versatile artist in his varicns -new offerings this week. Making his reappearance is Blondi Robinson, Who, during a short season here some months ago, proved that few of us are immune to the ludicrously ridiculous, when presented by such a prince of tom-foolery. This is a vaudeville programme that is not only interesting, full of originality and brightness, but one that will suit all tastes in this class of amusement. The Elton Black Town Topics Revue Company has set a very high

standard in revues, and this week will present another production of outstanding merit, entitled “Between Here and Mexico.” No further assurance need be given, that the second half of the programme, left in the hands of this individually clover company, who are noted for their excellent musical numbers, will provide an entertainment of bright comedy that will leave not a few oagor for more.
