A sensation lias been caused throughout Germany by the publication of documents in tho “Tageblatt,” showing that General Ludendorff, during the inflation period l of 1922, tried to transfer his large personal fortune aboard, in order to avoid paying taxes. The authorities discovered the offence and issued a summons, but abandoned proceedings after obtaining a document in which von Ludendorff admitted his guilt.
