“SUICIDE WHILE DEPRESSED”

HOUGHTON BAY TRAGEDY FINDING AT INQUEST. The coroner’s inquiry concerning the death of James Headley Sterling, a married man, aged 48 and a visitor to Wellington from Auckland, was heard before M\ \V. G. Riddell, S.M., yesterday afternoon. The body of the deceased was discovered on the rocks below Houghton Bay on Saturday afternoon last. The man’s throat was cut and there were gashes about the arms. After the hearing of evidence, the coroner returned a finding of suicide while in a depressed state of mind.
