DANCE IN ART GALLERY

The second annual dance of the staff of the Goldberg Advertising Agency was held in the Art Gallery last night. It was a fine but cold night, and the floor and orchestra were good; so that nothing more was needed to make all the dancers and everyone present thoroughly enjoy themselves. The subdued light from deep blue and yellow shades made an effective lighting for the pretty frocks, and the walls, hung with pictures, are a perfect setting for such an occasion. The chaperons for the evening were Mesdames Goldberg (wearing white satin embroidered with crystal and diamante and ermine stole); JN. Paisley, Proctor (whe wore flowered blue crepe de chine), Curtis (in blue georgette embroidered in crystal), Appleyard (in dark brown with bronze beading), and Wishart. The committee consisted of the Misses McNair (wearing blue georgette), Hewitt (in apricot). Smith (in peach-coloured taffetas), and Trengrove (in fuchsia chiffon with floral panels), and Messrs Curtis, Appleyard, Wishart, Holmes, du Chateau, Riggs, and Wisbey. Mr C. E. Holmes was hon. secretary. All united in looking after the guests and making the evening a thoroughly enjoyable one.
