A young Maori, Jack- Leaf, a visitor to Hamilton from Waihi, was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment at Hamilton court to-day for driving .a car when in a state of intoxication, unlawfully converting a car to his own use, resisting arrest, and assaulting a constable. The accused admitted the charges. Ho resisted violently when the constable endeavoured to effect an arrest, and was handcuffed after a desperate struggle.
