FORD’S MAMMOTH BUSINESS TURNOVER-A THOUSAND MILLIONS WITHOUT BORROWING Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received June 3, 9.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 2.In briefs filed in a suit here against the Ford Motor Company, the company’s net profits are officially stated to have exceeded 526 million dollars between 1917 and 1924. The year 1922 was the best; the profits then exceeding 115 millions. The company’s balance-sheet shows that its gross annual business of 1000 million dollars has been carried on without the use of borrowed money, save for a single mortgage item of 145,000 dollars. The Ford family, owning all t.ie % shares in the company, 17,000 in all, last year realised dividends of 547 dollars pfer share, as against 670 in 1922.
