PARAMOUNT THEATRE
“WE MODERNS.” “We Moderns,” the picture opening to-day at the Paramount Theatre, which has drawn crowds during its screening, has some unique scenes ot London as backgrounds for many of its biggest moments. And it’s not just a London built on the studio set, either, nor even some London scenes run into the picture. Colleen Moore, who plays the principal part, took a trip with her husband to England and Europe some months ago, and while there many of the scenes for “We Moderns” were made. In the heart of London-—London of to-day—in such famous spots as Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, The Strand, and outside Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, crowds of interested spectators stretched and strove for a glimpse of the famous little star at work on her film. The picture is adapted from the story by Israel Zangwill,. and deals with the very modern habits and manners of the youth of to-day. Colleen, in the role of a high-spirited, selfwilled young English girl, the daughter of old-fashioned and conventionbound parents, gives her usual vivid and delightful performance. She is surrounded by a splendid cast, headed by Jack Mulhall. The picture is a First National attraction. A Gaumont Graphic, a comedy, and a Pathe Review, together with a spe-cially-selected musical programme, are included in this wonderful hill.
