TAXI-DRIVER FINED

PROHIBITED PERSON AND LIQUOR. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON. May 28. At the Police Court, Robert Alexander Benton Stevenson, taxi-driver, was fined £lO for assisting a prohibited person to partake of liquor. Joseph Shipley Roberts, the prohibited person in question, was charged with being drunk and a breach of his prohibition order; also the theft of £3O from a residence. He plonded guilty to all charges, and was sentenced to reformative treatment for three years.
