ASSOCIATION
ATTRACTIONS FOR TO-DAY ' The Soccer games to-day will complete the first round of tfte first (A) division championship. On the Basin Reserve Diamonds will meet Marist on No. 1 ground. As exponents of bright, clever football, Marist have already earned a well-deserved reputation, and may be relied on to give their best. Diamonds, who are making their first appearance on the Basin Reserve, will be strengthened by the inclusion of G. Hearne at ful back. This is always a hard team to defeat, as they are battlers all the way, and will keep the Marist defence busy. On No. 2 ground the meeting of Thistle and Institute is bound to provide a keen struggle, and the style of play adopted by both teams should account for a bright display of football. Early arrivals will have much to interest them in the curtain-raisers between teams in the fourth A and B divisions. At Association Park the main item is the meeting between Y.M.C.A. and Waterside. An interesting game should result.
