7 STRAND THEATRE

DOUBLE FEATURE BILL. “Wreckage,” the Banner production starring May Allison, which opened tvt the Strand Theatre yesterday, is one of the most unusual films on record. This picture is notable for its action, but for a single scene it will be stamped as one of the most thrilling ever shown here. The shipwreck in the Pacific storm is a gem <f the photographer's art and an example of the extent to which movie performers will go for realism. Robert Holmes, John Miljan, Rosemary Theby, and James Morrison complete a first-rate cast. Also screening is “After the Ball,"* a screen version of the famous old song. Judges of Amorim's divorce court say not one out of ten wives who promise at the prison gates to “stick to the end” goes through with her bargain. Sooner or later, they tire of waiting and find their way into the courts, to seek freedom from their marital bonds. It is an absorbing question, set forth in a spectacular manner in “After the Ball.” Gaston

Glass, Edna Murphy, Robert Frazer*, and Miriam Cooper head the cast. There is an excellent supporting bill, and sparkling mosio by Harr; Avery, the wizard of the piano.
