GOVERNMENT PUBLICITY CINEMA

AT DUNEDIN EXHIBITION The erection of a cinema at the Dunedin Exhibition undoubtedly proved a most popular innovation, as during the period of the Ejxhibition no fewer than 407,205 persons viewed the films at various times. During the closing day there was a record attendance of 7140 persons, and the pictures shown on that day included Stewart Island, sword fishing in New Zealand, Wellington City, Mt. Cook and the Dunedin Exhibition film, and altogether proved a most popular programme. The publicity office presented to the 250,000 th visitor a nicely bound album of New Zealand views. In addition to the New Zealand films shown' during the Exhibition there were others from Great Britain, Australia and Canada, and it was pleasing to note that the‘New Zealand films, in tne big majority of coses, proved most popular with the audience.
