MINISTERIAL Th© Prime Minister (Right Hon. .?* G. Coates) left for the north la-d evening. He will return on the morning of June 7th. The Prime Minis* ter was accompanied by the Hon. A. D, McLeod, Minister for Lands, who will travel with him till about June Ist. The Minister for Marine and Mined (Hon. G. J. Anderson) will go south to-night, and after visiting -nis own electorate, will cross to the West Coast, On Wednesday he is to unveil a memorial to the late Dr Menzies at YVyndhara. The Minister will be absent from Wellington for about a week. Major M. R Aldridge, officer commanding the New Zealand Signalling Corps, who h*ia been transferred to Auckland, was presented with a travelling bag on behalf of the officers, non-commissioned officers, and men of tho Central Depaxtment on Saturday. Colonel Markman, Director of Signals, made the presentation. Major Aldridge leaves tor the north next week.
