ELECTRIC LIGHT CUT OFF. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., May 21. A heavy easterly gale last evening blew down fences and did a lot of other minor damage. An electric Ijght pole on an island in the Manawatu river was washed away, and current to Karero and Linton was cut off, and was not restored for some time.
