CROQUET
WAIMARIE CLUB MEETING SUCCESSFUL SEASON. The annual meeting of the Waimarie Croquet Club was held in the pavilion, Riddiford Park. Lower Hutt, on Thursday, There was a good attendance of members. Great interest was taken in report of the past year’s proceedings, and everything points to the club making further strides in the coming season. A number of trophies have been presented for competition during next season. Air H. Baldwin lias presented a rose bowl, and Air Savage has given a trophy, to be known as the “Presidents” trophy. These two gifts will remain the property of the club. Mrs Fairbairn has donated a trophy to the member scoring the most points during the competitions. Alesdames Exton and Harman have also given trophies. The election of officers resulted os follows : —President, Airs Savage; vice-presidents,* Alesdames Exton and Harman; hon. secretary, Airs Cameron; hon. treasurer, Airs Murphy; committee, Alesdames Alexander, Andrews, Exton, Gowing, Harman, Jones, AlcDonald and Strand; delegates to the Croquet Association, Alesdames Savage and Cameron.
