MESSENGER WINS A FORTUNE
STRIKES £SOOO PRIZE Luck in the shape of a sudden and unexpected fortune has fallen upon a messenger in- the Government service. Following his calling in the city for yetyrs, he little thought a small investment in an oversea sweep would make him independent for life. Probably he had been a “subscriber” for years. This month he struck it, and it is said to be worth about £SOOO. Maybe there will be a vacancy in the ranks of Government l messengers.
