PARAMOUNT THEATRE
“MEMORY LANE.”
The happy lane of memory, down which everyone travels in moments of reverie, is the theme- of “Memory Dane,” a John M, Stahl production, which is now at the Paramount Theatre.
Stahl’s interpretation of memory is that in it “we dream of things as they were, or as they might have been. We live our lives over —and more wisely. Hand-in-hand with those we love we again walk in the twilight of the past, casting aside our cares and living again in our joys.” . In the cast of “Memory Lane” are Eleanor Boardman and Conrad Nagel. They play the part of a young married, couple, natives of a small. ifew England village. William Hairas enacts the role of a former lover, who returns to the happily-married wife to walk once more with her down memory lane. There is a splendid supporting bill and beautiful and romantic music, which fits in with the romance in the film. Of the orchestral items, “Moonlight and Roses” and “Memory Lane” are first favourites.
