WANGANUI’S DREDGE

COMING TO WELLINGTON ON TRIAL The Wellington Harbour Board has made arrangements to take over the Wanganui dredge Ivaiono for a month’s trial. The Kaione is considered to he the wrong typo of vessel for work at Wanganui, and the Wanganui Harbour Board is anxious to dispose of her. It was stated at a recent meeting of the AVanganui Board that a representative of the buildero of the dredge had visited Wanganui, and had expressed the opinion that the Kaione was not suitable for the work assigned to her, conditions at Wanganui being different from those for which the vessel was constructed. The Kaione is expected at Wellington either to-da.y or to-mor-row.
