AUCKLAND, April 15. ■ The Manchester Unity conference discussed a Westland remit on the hazardous occupations scale, and the following was carried as an amendment: “Districts composed of mixed populations whose previous experience shows a trade or calling to be extra hazardous shall be valued separately by an actuary. Should 6uch show sickness in excess of tho actuary’s table for ordinary avocations, the cost of such excess sickness shall be borne equally by all the districts iu the New Zealand branch.”
