FORESTERS CONFER

DISTRICT MEETING ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Per Press Association. WAIROA, April 15. The A.O.F. 47th annual district meeting was held at Wairoa yesterday. There was a large attendance of delegates, Bro. J. H. Hopkinson. D.C.R., presiding. The balance-sheet showed district funds £62,504 6s 2d and consolidated sick and funeral fund £51,887. The sum of £SOOO was lent on mortgages during the year. It was decided that all future annual meetings be held at Napier. The following were elected executive officers: D.0.R., Bro. L. T. Bisson (Napier); D.S.C.R., Bro. E. G. Dowdick (Waipukurau); D.S.W., Bro. Thomas Bain (Dannevirke); D.J.W., Bro. A. E. Joll (Havelock North); D. 8., Bro. J. H. Riddell (Napier); D.T., Bro. W. A. Wilkie (Napier); D.S., Bro. Frank N. Redpath (Havelock North). A large amount of official business was dealt with. The delegates were received in the evening by the Mayor at a public social, which was largely attended.
