CITY SANITATION

LOAN FOR CONVENIENCES AUTHORITY TO BE SOUGHT. The Mayor (Mr C. J. B. Norwood) at the City Council last evening intimated that he would ask for permission to raise a loan for the provision erf sanitary conveniences throughout the city. It would probably be desirable to place some of them—including that at Courtenay Place —underground. Councillors welcomed the suggestion, and agreed that the sanitary committee and the Mayor would have the backing of the full council in any action he mighb take. In the ID2O loan schedule certain provision was made for city sinitary conveniences.
