Mr H. E. Leighton reports that th# auction c ale held by him of sections, corner of Cornwall street and Kuighta road. Lower Hutt, on Saturday last, lot 1 having 43it frontage, by 16oft in depth, sold at £550; lot 2, having 00ft frontage hy 165 f- in depth, 6ola at £SOO At the auction ssle held by him yesterday ot 174. Clyde quay, there was a good attendance, tho property was competed for. but passed in at £4200, not having quite reached tho reserve. It is now in the auctioneers’ hands for private sale.
