Bruce Havelock Strong. charged with the murder of his father, was found guilly of manslaughter, and remanded for sentence. Following a family quarrel in which Alexander Strong (57 years .of age) threatened the members of his family at Smith’s Creeji, near Murwhillnmbah, his son, Bruce Strong (aged .26), fired tyo shots with a rifle at his father, killing him. Bruce Strong was arrested and charged with murder. In a statement to the police he said that he fired in self-defence.
