MR PRBNDERGAST, OF VICTORIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, March 24. Mr G. M. Prendergast, Leader of the Victorian State Labour Party, has resigned owing to ill-health and advancing years. He will probably he succeeded by the present deputy-leader Mr Hogan. Mr Prendergast has been a member of the Legislature in Victoria’ for 31 yeaTS, having been first elected in 1894 representing Melbourne North. He has been Leader of the Labour Party since 1904. He formed a Ministry in July, 1924, but was defeated in November.
