LOCAL BODIES MEET ALLOCATION DECIDED ETON. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 24. A conference convened by the Mayor of Auckland, at which 29 local bodies were represented, being authorities having control of roads in the districts from Helcnsville. to Mercer, was held to-day. Twenty-seven voted for a ■proposal that the distribution of traffic fees should be on a basis of 50 per cent, on capital value and 50 per cent, on population. It was decided that the apportionment should be on the 1921 census, and the rateable capital value at April Ist, 1925.
