Torrential rain, accompanied by heavy gales, has fallen through the State, and flood warnings have been issued. Similar heavy falls are reported in Queensland. Advices from Adelaide record terrific falls, and huge areas of country under water. The -railway services are disorganised, and it will be n fortnight beforo trains are able to reach Oodnadntta. The drought, which in sonic cases has Tasted four years, has l>een definitely banished, even tho Alice •Springs district being inundated.
