AUCKLAND WOOL SALE

FINAL FOR SEASON VALUES MAINTAINED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 24. The Auckland woolbrokers report having held their third and final sale of the season today, when tho total catalogues offered by the various brokers amounted to 7350 bales. This brings the total offering for the season to 44,738 bales. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen for all lots offered. Prices, with the exception of the strongest grades of wool., were very much on a par with last sale. Strong wools showed a slight appreciation on last sale prices. The purchases were fairly well distributed. Continental buyers competed keenly with Bradford for all wool suitable for tbeix trade, and French buyers were well to tho fore fob lambs wool. There were also good orders about for bellies and pieces, any good lots free of seed bringing very satisfactory prices and about 90 per cent, was sold under the hammer. The selection of wool offored was, lor tho third sale, exceptionally good, and there were a few very attractive clips which elicited keen competition. There were verv few clingy and log-stained lots noticeable, although a largo proportion of tho lambs wool carried a 'considerable amount of seed. A rough estimate of the value of wool sold would be £ls per bale. The following is the official range of prices: - Halfbred, average 13-ld to l4Ad, super 13d to 14,\d, average 12d to 13d. Fine crossbred, super 12]d to 12.R1, avevage 10id to 12d. Medium crossbred, super lljd to 13d, average 10jd to 12d, inferior Old to 10id. Coarse crossbred, super 10J<1 to 11-jd, average lOd to 10Jd, inferior 9d to lOd, Low crossbred, super 10ld to lid, average 9d to IOJd, inferior Bci to 9cl. Hoggets, halfbred 12d to 131 d, fine 11-Jd to 12(1, medium lOd to lid. Lambs, halfbred 12d to 13;ld, fine lid to 12d, medium 9d to seedy and inferior 5Jd to B£d. Bellies and pieces, crossbred Bsd to lOd, crossbred inferior €d to Bd. (’rutchings, medium to good Cd to 7Jcl, inferior and seedy 5d to fid. Locks, crossbred 5d to fid.
