RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION The executive of the Wellington North Ratepayers’ Association af its last meeting decided to arrange a deputation to wait upon the reserves committee of the council to urge the early construction of hot water and Turkish baths. The meeting singnified its approval ot the Fire Board proposal, and suggested that all members of the association should support the proposal. Attention was drawn to the very unclean state of the public rest ground at the corner of Molesworth and Bowen streets. The secretary was instructed to take step* to advise the proper authorities. Strong represenations were made to the executive in regard to the very dangerous angle at the corner of Cottleville terrace and Tinakori road. The secretary received instructions to write to the council suggesting that provision should be made in the drawing up of the estimates for the year for the resumption of sufficient land on the south-west corner to ease of! the angle and to give better vision.
