RIFLE SHOOTING

THE SUBURBS CLUB. The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club fired a practice match of 10 shots over the 300 yards range, and seven shots over the 500 yards range on the Broadway range on Saturday. Conditions were fair, there being a tricky wind. Some very fine scores were registered, however. Rifleman Cbing (Karori) -with 49, Deputy-Captain Hester 47, and Rifleman B Hare 47 at 300 yards, and Riflemen Ching. Stacev, Hare, and Deputy-Presi-dent Hester ‘with 33 each at 500 yards were top scorers. Several riflemen from other clubs visited the range, and were extended a hearty welcome by Deputy-President Hester in tile absence of the president The visitors, were Riflemen Ching (Karori). Jones (Linton), Connor (Okawa). Goldfinch (Old Navals), and Kershaw (Petone). The details are as follow
